Re: PC Music
The SOUND command and the PLAY commands are for creating tones and playing music, respectively. They can be useful, but of course, only can make assorted beep sounds. The PLAY statement is best as it can play sound in the background and uses strings containing musical note names and numbers, as well...

Re:
Ya, I agree Relsoft, Give Qbasic a chance, that "horrible blue screen", that ive become accustomed to by the way, can be changed, and instead of CTR-C, it is CTR-INS and SHFT-INS, as well as SHFT-DEL for cut. these work in all Microsoft products ive used. WORD, EXCEL, and Visual C++, which i am usin...

Re: Transparent Color PUT without library
Well, Here's the deal: You Cant. At least not very well. Iv'e tried. What you can do, is to make a sub that takes in an X, a Y and a the Array with the picture, make it go through the array and put the pixels one by one, except when they are black. This saves a lot of memory becuase you d...

I think i finally got the AI done and so all i gotta do is get rid of a few errors in the grafix and finish the "GUI" of the game. Be on the lookout! It should be done...

Re: Help Needed for Paintball Game
I see what your sayin, i like that idea, and i'd have sum ideas to get that to work, unfortunately, i dont have tiles, but i have no scrolling so its ok (really simple-like game). I may try to use that idea though, but there is another problem, and that is that the objects are placed randomly every ...

Help Needed for Paintball Game
Ok, so heres the deal: i have been working on a paintball game, Comic Paintball Blast. You Basically pick a character, set your time/sound/ammo stuff and then play. You shoot paintballs at your opponent. You can 'hide' behind objects, bushes, trees whatever. heres a demo, 140Kb, self extracting ZIP,...

so, for regular commands, just put them on thier own lines
but for an IF statement with a lot of then and/or else stuff,
IF
blah
blah
END IF
**OR**
IF
blah
blah
ELSE
blah
blah
END IF
Goodluck!

Re: *BAD FILE MODE* Error when loading file
Yano, im not sure, ive had that happen with simple high-score files that my programs save, but not with qbasic, i can only suggest re-downloading qbasic, or else, re-write the file, sry, to prevent problems, i always save 2 files, one in tesxt and one in basic
