Windows 11 install - mouse good, keys not

Hi

New laptop Win 11 64 bit.

Using vDos emulator.

Quick Basic installs and opens but the keys don't produce text in the IDE however the mouse works ok.
The keys work outside in say notepad but not in the IDE. The IDE isn't responding to key presses.

Any ideas appreciated.
