Bad file mode

I have some old basicA and QB programs written years ago. Some of them fail to load into the Qbasic 1.1 interpreter (bad file mode). I suspect they were saved in binary format? (Others I can open in notepad hence are ascii). Over the years i used GWbasic, basica, QB3, QB4.5 & Bascom 6. I can't remember what programs were saved with what version. Any ideas on how to rescue this old but still useful body of work?

Just download QB4.5 or PDS. They can both load binary files. ;)

:D

I have literally 100s of hours invested in engineering programs. I have the disks from Microsoft QucikBasic 4.0 ... but liek the other guy, I bought a new computer and loaded it all on there and 99% of my programs now say "bad file mode"

So thank you... Guess I'll try to find this PDS or QB4.5... I assume it is some sort of freeware or something ? Not sure where to find it. I would be happy to pay to get these programs up and running again...
