Is it possible to redirect the output from the SOUND statement to the soundcard instead of the internal speaker??

As far as I know, that's not possible... However, there are ways to manipulate the FM chip of the sound card to mock the squelches & grunts that QB produces.
Come check out [url=http://www.freebasic.net/forum/index.php]FreeBASIC[/url]. The syntax is based on QuickBasic, but it expands to use pointers, operator overloading, etc... The list goes on and on!
