Do you have a working version of QBasic 4.5 or 7.1? If so I suggest you browse the Help section for the OPEN, INPUT (and LINE INPUT), and PRINT commands.
There is no substitute for writing a program yourself and debugging it if necessary.
If you want to download a copy of QBasic 4.5 then open the Compilers sub-section of the Downloads section in the left pane.
