HELP! qbasic says check your piv file! it wont work!

IM VERY mad qbasic when i try to play it qbasic dosent work it says check your piv file or somthing im a noob NEED HELP! is my pc outdated? I have a brand new super pc! HELP!!! is it becuse its zipped?

sorry it says check your pif file, ivalid startup directory qbasic wont work!!!!!

a pif file is basically a lnk (link) file for dos programs.
Right click on the icon, go to properties and click the program tab.

Then look at the command line. That is probably where the problem is.
It is looking for qbasic.exe in whatever path you have there.

You can do a search for qbasic.exe and correct the path in the pif file.
