I have a problem: I cannot use my mouse in Qbasic 4.5 or any other version. I cannot click the "buttons".

Whoa! First of all, let's look at the files in your QuickBASIC 4.5 directory, that is, where qb.exe resides. Do you have a file called MOUSE.COM?
Ralph. Running QuickBASIC Version 4.5, Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2, and HP LaserJet 4L printer.
