There was a post on Daniweb about a solution someone found for Qbasic
on XP. maybe (if it does, in fact, work, it will work on 2000 also)

The author suggested copying (not moving) the file AUTOEXEC.NT to the
Window\system folder.

I run Windows XP Home Edition, and, everytime I try to run any QuickBASIC 4.5 program containing the SCREEN 12 or 13 statement, the program starts maximized, then, after a few seconds, minimizes.

I tried copying Autoexec.nt to the C:/Windows/System folder, and, no change.

Oh, by the way, two guys have said that their QuickBASIC files that I don't seem to be able to run in XPHE DO run, using XP Pro. I'd like to see this confirmed by the gurus out there! I wonder if that is the solution. It sure would b nice to know that there IS an XP solution to this problem!
Ralph. Running QuickBASIC Version 4.5, Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2, and HP LaserJet 4L printer.
